The GPCE team is excited to introduce DiscoverGP, a program designed to help medical students explore pathways into General Practice, developed in close consultation with leading medical student associations and the GPCE Advisory Board to ensure it delivers relevant, practical, and career-shaping insights.

Designed with medical students in mind, DiscoverGP offers a focused and immersive introduction to life in General Practice. The program highlights key themes from the conference agenda, including what a day in the life of a GP really looks like, the differences between urban and rural general practice, and practical guidance on how to optimise your career trajectory in general practice. These sessions are tailored to help you better understand your options, make informed decisions about your future, and gain clarity on the diverse and rewarding pathways available.

DiscoverGP provides medical students with the opportunity to attend one day of GPCE free of charge through a student scholarship. Participants can take part in sessions specifically designed for students, while also accessing a broader selection of presentations that showcase the high-quality ongoing clinical education GPCE is known for.

Beyond the sessions, the program connects attendees directly with exhibitors offering support across key areas such as financial services, recruitment, legal advice, medical equipment, and more, helping you build valuable connections early in your career.
