Alcohol consumption remains a major health issue, including during pregnancy. This can lead to children with cognitive, neurodevelopmental or behavioural problems presenting to GPs. You will acquire skills in how to address the issue of alcohol and pregnancy, the importance of asking, assessing, recording and providing advice to all pregnant patients and how to recognise possible FASD.
