This course emphasises the identification and management of acute emergencies in the pre-hospital setting. Using easy-to-remember diagnostic tools, procedures and techniques, GPs and practice nurses will learn to effectively manage acute medical and traumatic emergencies such as acute coronary syndrome, cardiac arrest, asthma and respiratory distress, anaphylaxis, seizures, hypoglycaemia and trauma, including emergency decompression of pneumothorax, cricoid puncture and interosseous access.
