Gil Cremer
Gil is a registered nurse (RN) and registered midwife (RM). She has been providing care to people with diabetes for more than 20 years and has been employed as a diabetes educator for 15 years.
Gil completed a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management and a Masters of Education in Adult Education at the University of Technology Sydney and since 1996 has been employed as a CDE in both tertiary and primary care setting. She also has experience as a private practising CDE and established her own business after the introduction of Medicare provider status for CDEs in 2005.
Gil is currently employed by the Australian Diabetes Educators Association overseeing projects funded under the National Diabetes Services Scheme while continuing to provide diabetes self management education through her private practice. Gil has experience in providing diabetes education and care throughout the continuum of life and throughout the continuum of diabetes, but has a special interest in pregnancy in pre existing diabetes.
