Dr Gebauer works in a private group Dermatology practice in Fremantle and Rockingham, WA. He is Head of Dept of Dermatology at Fremantle Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. He is also accredited to several private hospitals in Perth and is a member of numerous medical societies.
Dr Gebauer has a longstanding interest in rural health and assists the Lions Cancer Institute in rural skin cancer screenings. He established the Visiting Dermatology Service to Albany and frequently travels to rural areas to participate in upskilling programs for rural GPs.
Dr Gebauer has participated in numerous Australian and international clinical trials researching new topical therapies for skin disease, and has lectured at Dermatology conferences in Australia, Asia and South Africa.
