Obtaining your CPD points and ongoing medical education at GPCE
Active Learning Module (ALM) 30 points category 1
The 2005-2007 RACGP triennium requires GPs to earn 130 CPD points, of which 60 are Category 1 points and the remainder category 2 points. The GPCE ALM program will give you the opportunity to gain 30 of these category 1 points over the 3 days of the conference.
You will need to attend 6 sessions from your chosen stream. You will also be required to do some pre-conference reading from the website and a post-conference evaluation. The pre-conference reading will be avaliable in October 2007, and you will receive an email with this reading attached.
The GPCE is the only conference where you can acquire your category one points without doing any extra audit or case study once you are back at your surgery.
