Mr Norm J Roth
Graduated MBBS, Monash University. From 1974 to 1980 he was in the RAAF, including 2 years exchange in Britain with the RAF. He retired from the RAAF in the position of Commanding Officer, RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine. In 1980 he went into general practice in Geelong, and cared for his first AIDS patient in 1985. He commenced attending one HIV clinic per week at Fairfield Hospital, involved with initial studies of AZT. In 1990 he moved to Melbourne to be more involved with HIV medicine and sexual health and completed Monash University Diploma in Venereology. He has been involved with many clinical trials relating to HIV and is a Consultant Sexual Health Physician, HIV Clinic, Melbourne Sexual Health Centre and HIV Clinic, Alfred Hospital. He is a Member, Primary HIV Infection Working Group, National Centre HIV Epidemiology and Clinical Research and also Senior Partner, Prahran Market Clinic.
