David Vivian has worked in the area of musculoskeletal medicine since 1980. The scope of practice has become more interventional over the past 15 years. He is now a co-director of the Metro Spinal Clinic, a practice which sees over 50 new referred patients per week. The interventional practice includes epidural and nerve root injections (over 20,000), radiofrequency nerve ablations (over 10,000 patients treated), intradisc procedures, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation and joint injections. He is president of the Australasian Faculty of Musculoskeletal Medicine and past president of the Australian Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine.
