Dr Paul Nisselle AM MBBS FRACGP (Moderator, Plaintiff’s lawyer)Senior Advisor, Risk Management, MDAV. Dr Nisselle was a GP in suburban Melbourne for 18 years before commencing work in the medical indemnity industry in 1989. He is now Senior Advisor, Risk Management, for the Medical Defence Association of Victoria. He has served on the Councils of the RACGP, NAGPA, AMA (Federal) and AMA Victoria, and is both a Past-President and Past-Chairman of AMA Victoria. He was a member of Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria in the late 1980s and currently holds two Ministerial appointments, one as a member of the Health Services Review Council (the body which advises Victoria's Health Services Commissioner) and the other as Convenor of Medical Panels in Victoria's WorkCover scheme. He has been awarded the Fellowship of the AMA and the Gold Medal of AMA Victoria, was awarded a Centenary Medal by the Commonwealth Government, and was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 2003. |
