Dr Mark Daniell MBBS MS FRANZCO FRACS

Current positions include: Ophthalmologist to Corneal Unit, Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital; Ophthalmologist to Medical Eye Unit, Royal Melbourne Hospital; Ophthalmologist to Diabetic Clinic, Royal Women’s Hospital; and Visiting Specialist, Freemasons Hospital. Dr Daniell has written numerous papers, co-authored a book Management of Corneal and External Disease, and frequently presents at both national and international meetings. His current research projects are:
1. Principal investigator in Multicentre Prospective trial into treatment of central retinal vein occlusion via laser induced chorioretinal anastamosis. Awarded funding from NH&MRC.
2. Prospective trial of CSA in treatment of steroid dependent atopic eye disease.
3. Prospective trial of Moxifloxacin in microbial keratitis.
4. Ex vivo amplification of corneal stem cells for transplantation.
