Dr Karen DwyerStaff Specialist, Department of Immunology & Nephrology, St Vincent’s Health, Melbourne; Senior Fellow, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, The University of Melbourne. Dr Dwyer completed her nephrology training through St Vincent’s Health Melbourne (1999-2001) and PhD at Immunology Research Centre, St Vincent’s Health, in xenotransplantation. She undertook postdoctoral research in transplant immunology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA and then returned to Australia in 2006 to commence full time employment at St Vincent’s Health.
