Dr Elizabeth Mullins MBBS BSc Hons (Melb) (Doctor – Dr Jones)Liz is a medical and sciences graduate of the University of Melbourne with 25 years’ experience in clinical & management aspects of health care. Following work in the public hospital system in Victoria, in both general medicine and management, Liz worked for the North West Thames Regional Authority in London, and after that, as a consultant for Healthcare Risk Resources International (HRRI). Her responsibilities included assisting in the development of clinical risk management programs and more particularly clinical pathway development programs. In 1997, Liz returned to Victoria and assisted in establishing HRRI Australia. Since then, she has conducted many and various clinical risk management and clinical pathway programs in both the public and private healthcare sectors. Liz and HRRI continue to assist a wide range of healthcare and doctor organisations to not only identify their risks but see them as an opportunity to improve and learn. In 2006, Liz was also appointed senior risk advisor with The Medical Defence Association of Victoria. |
