Dr David Clark
David Clark completed his undergraduate training at Monash University and residency at the Alfred Hospital before undertaking basic cardiology training at the Austin Hospital. He then travelled to the US where he sub-specialised in interventional cardiology at Yale University for 2 years and then went on to Boston for a final year of pioneering research in the exciting technique of carotid artery stenting. He returned to work as an interventional cardiologist at the Austin hospital where he has practised for the last 5 years. He has maintained a strong interest in clinical research, and helped establish the Austin Stroke Intervention Group as well as the only large multi-centre angioplasty outcomes registry, known as MIG, in Australia. He has authored more than 50 peer reviewed papers and abstracts. He is currently in private practice in Balwyn and Heidelberg.
