Bettina Arndt trained as a clinical psychologist before becoming a sex therapist and social commentator. As editor of the influential Forum magazine, she spent ten years talking about sex on television and radio. She then moved on to writing about broader social issues, working as a columnist and feature writer for leading newspapers and magazines. Her recent internationally best-seller, The Sex Diaries, was based on research involving couples keeping diaries on dealing with the tensions of mismatched desire. She's followed this up with a project on male sexuality, using diaries to explore what men want from sex, their pleasures, yearnings and struggles - plus how couples are coping with the new Viagra revolution. Her new book - What Men Want - will be published in August.
