Bowel Problems – Sinister and innocent

Colorectal cancer is the leading cause of cancer death and Australia and New Zealand lead the world in terms of incidence. Bowel cancer can be diagnosed early with FOBT and a mortality reduction of 17%, or diagnosed early and prevented by colonoscopy with a mortality reduction of 67%.
Abdominal bloating has a major impact on quality of life, particularly in women. The causes are slowly being unravelled and the therapies expanded.
The phenomenon is real and not imagined.
