Chronic Sino-Nasal Symptons from Infants to the Elderly – remaining proactive

Chronic sino-nasal conditions have shifted away from infective models to a more comprehensive understanding of mucosal health, inflammation and a concept of a unified airway. Separating patients with rhinitis and inflammatory nasal cavity changes only, from those with significant sinus mucosal disease is the key for effectively managing these groups. Topical therapies, both OTC and pharmaceutical, have a key role in management. A variety of medical strategies are presented for infants, children, during pregnancy and the elderly.
