Women's Mental Health and Pregnancy

Women, especially the younger woman, may have a problem dealing with pregnancy. This can lead to exacerbation of mental health issues or onset of new episodes. This seminar will look at the risk factors, especially personality, abuse and attachment issues, associated with pregnancy MH problems in young women. How to assess, diagnosis and what preventative measures can be taken. We will also look at the management options available to those young women suffering from psychiatric illness.
