ALM M - Obstetrics & Gynaecology / Women's Health

This ALM relates to Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Women’s Health. It looks at different aspects encompassing various areas of women’s health, and how to manage these including case presentations and updates in diagnosis, treatment and management in a general practice setting. Appropriate knowledge, updates and new advances are essential knowledge for a GP especially in the field of fertility as well as the more traditional areas such as: contraception, PCOS, miscarriage and Menstrual problems. This module also covers updates, appropriate screening procedures, advice and information on appropriate management for the different situations.

This ALM constitutes 6hours of education – 4 of which are interactive either with case presentations, role plays, discussions or practical skills. Each activity makes provision for a Q&A session which the facilitator helps coordinate. Delegates must include 4 of the interactive workshop activities, that is two thirds of the ALM, to qualify for this ALM. The remaining 2 hours may be chosen from the seminars or other interactive workshops.
