Basal cell carcinoma is the commonest cutaneous malignancy. In this session we look at the pathology of BCC and its biological behaviour. We discuss the problems of classifying BCC and provide a format for interpreting pathology reports so that the most appropriate surgical or non-surgical treatments are selected.
