2010 Active Learning Modules (ALMs)

Active Learning Modules (ALMs) provide an opportunity for a GP to earn 40 Category 1 points. They provide quality, structured education directed at achieving demonstrable changes in the performance, knowledge, skills, behaviour and attitudes of GPs. Each module consists of a pre-disposing activity, a mix of interactive workshops and seminars and a reinforcing and reflective activity.

To complete an ALM at the GPCE, delegates can choose from 13 ALM streams that have been specifically designed for General Practice. Pre-disposing material will be available online 3 weeks prior to the conference. At least four of the six ALM sessions must be workshops and the remaining two can be seminars or workshops. At the conclusion of the conference, GPs then complete the reinforcing and reflective activity and place the forms in the box provided at the end of the conference.

Did you know that you can get all of your points each Triennium from the GPCE. We cover every therapeutic area  and you can do more than 1 ALM over the 3 days.
