Active Learning Modules

The GPCE Melbourne conference program for 2017 offers four Active Learning Modules (ALM), providing the opportunity to focus your education on content frequently presented in everyday practice. RACGP registered delegates will receive 40 Category 1 points per ALM completed and can complement this with additional individual sessions for Category 2 points.

Convert an ALM to a Quality Improvement Activity

General practitioners currently have a mandatory requirement to complete a Quality Improvement activity as part of the current 2017–2019 triennium. The RACGP has introduced an option for GPs to convert any Category 1 activity (such as an ALM) into a QI activity by completing a Quality Improvement reflection form.

Quality Improvement reflection forms are only applicable to GPs who have:
- Completed a Category 1 activity and points have been allocated
- Made changes to their knowledge, attitude, behaviours, skills and/or practice systems as an outcome of completing a Category 1 activity.

Following completion of an Active Learning Module at GPCE Melbourne, you have the opportunity to convert this to a Quality Improvement activity. To do this simply log onto the RACGP website and complete the Quality Improvement reflection form under ‘My CPD’.
