The GPCE Scientific Program offers unmatched diversity in clinical medical education with seminars and hands-on interactive workshops not offered anywhere else. The GPCE is unique in that it allows GPs to obtain their compulsory Category 1 ALM points as required by the RACGP QI&CPD program in a manner that is timely and does not take away from practice time. The program consists of between 30 and 45 seminars and 50 - 60 different workshop topics which may also be included in an Active Learning Module (ALM). We have previously run a mixture of the following ALMs:
- Aged Care
- Chronic Disease Management
- Dermatology
- Diabetes
- Emergency Medicine
- Health & Nutrition
- Practice Management
- Prevention & Risk Management
- Sports Medicine
- Surgical/Practical Medicine
- Obstetrics & Women's Health
Seminars
These didactic presentations can seat up to 100 delegates with all AV equipment supplied. This is an excellent way to deliver your messages and clinical updates to a target market who have booked to attend your seminar because of their interest in this area.
Workshops
Workshops are for smaller groups of up to 25 delegates and are interactive presentations which may include hands-on practical procedures and examination techniques e.g. suturing, ENT, sports injuries, emergency medicine, etc. These workshop sessions are repeated on each of the 3 days of the conference. The GPCE is the only conference that offers such a wide array of hands-on and interactive workshops which are an RACGP prerequisite to be included as part of an ALM.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Companies lend their support by way of educational grants or sponsorship for presentation of seminars and workshops. The GPCE offers the most cost effective way of getting in front of your target audience and we obtain full accreditation of your sessions.
Involvement in the Scientific Program provides a perfect platform not only for educating the GP delegates, but can also drive delegates to your exhibition area at the GPCE events. This ensures better brand awareness, reinforces your message and increases your client base.
Timelines
The Scientific Program starts development around 12 months prior to the conference and closes approximately 6 months prior to the commencement of the conference.
