SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
The GPCE Scientific Program offers unmatched diversity in clinical medical education with seminars and hands-on interactive workshops not offered anywhere else. The GPCE is unique in that it allows GPs to obtain their compulsory Category 1 ALM points as required by the RACGP Q&A program in a manner that is timely and does not take away from practice time. This is because the GPCE sets up a series of over 20-25 different interactive workshops which meets the criteria of doing 4 hours of the 6 of an ALM in small interactive groups. The program consists of between 30 and 45 seminars and 20-25 different workshops which may also be included in an ALM (Active Learning Module). See possible categories below:
- SEMINARS
These lectures can seat up to 100+ and all AV is supplied. This is an excellent way to get various messages and clinical updates to a target market as they will have booked to come to your seminar because of their interest in this area. You can also optimize these sessions further by the potential addition of keypads to immediately assess delegate responses and obtain meaningful research. We also offer a tracking system which is another optional addition which will assist you in obtaining a list of attendees.
- WORKSHOPS
Workshops are for smaller groups of up to 25 and are more interactive presentations and in some cases hands-on practical procedures and examination techniques e.g. suturing, ENT, sports injuries, emergency medicine, etc. These workshop sessions are usually repeated on each of the 3 days. The GPCE is the only conference that offers the opportunity of such a wide array of hands-on and interactive workshops which are an RACGP prerequisite to be included as part of an ALM.
