How do I get my QA & CPD points?

The GPCE program is made up of 5 sessions per day with a mixture of seminars and workshops. You are entitled to attend 2 seminars and 2 workshops per day (5 session on Sunday). In general you get 2 points per seminar or workshop.

After each day just fill out the evaluation form and put it in the marked boxes at the entrance. Make sure that all details and especially the CODE for the particular session you attend is filled out correctly. Failure to do so may mean that you will not be allocated CPD points.

As you leave the GPCE on your final day of attendance, please ensure you leave your Certificate of Attendance in the appropriate box in the foyer. This must include your signature and an X alongside any sessions you did not attend. Please make sure that your QA number is correct as points can not be awarded without this.

Your Certificate of Attendance will be forwarded to the RACGP QA & CPD department for allocation of points and you will be sent a copy of it approximately one month after the conference.

How to make sure you receive your CPD points at the GPCE:

1. Confirmation of Attendance – swipe badge

Attendance is documented electronically by swiping your name badge as you enter the main halls opposite the registration area and also by completing and signing your Certificate of Attendance at the end of the conference. You must swipe your card every day to register your attendance.

2. Evaluation Forms – complete and hand in

Included in your registration documents, are daily evaluation forms for each of the 3 days of the conference. Complete your details, session titles and codes attended each day as well as the pro forma evaluations for each session. At the end of each day please drop your daily evaluation form into the marked bin at the entrance. Your daily evaluation form also includes the exhibition evaluation, which must be completed to get exhibition floor points. All delegates participating in ALMs must complete the ALM evaluation form.

3. Certificate of Attendance – hand in at the end of the conference

When you collect your satchel you will be given your name badge and a “Certificate of Attendance”, listing all your selected seminars, workshops and Vital Links sessions. At the end of the conference you must acknowledge your attendance at each session by signing this form. You must also indicate which sessions you did not attend by an ‘X’ in the appropriate column on your Certificate of Attendance. Once this is completed please return the form to the allocated bins near the registration desk (located at the entrance to the Halls). This form will be the basis for granting CPD points. Delegates will be sent a copy of their Certificate of Attendance after the conference.

NZ Delegates: Please leave your signed Certificate of Attendance in the box marked “NZ Delegates” on leaving the Conference. GPCE will photocopy them and return them to you by mail.

Please note: Failure to submit your Certificate of Attendance means your CPD points can not be granted.

QA and CPD Number

The RACGP no longer accepts DOB when allocating CPD points. Please ensure you provide your QA number when completing forms. Additional Sessions.

If a delegate attends an additional session he/she must register for the session at the main Registration Desk located in the Dome foyer in order to qualify for CPD points. This must be added to your “Certificate of Attendance” by Conference staff. Important Note: Should you add or change sessions, this must be added to your Certificate of Attendance at the front registration desk in order to gain Accreditation points.
